MITP offers up to twelve MITP Outgoing Fellowships each year. They enable young PRISMA+ scientists, in particular PhD students and postdocs, to spend several months at foreign research institutions, mostly but not exclusively in the context of bilateral agreements with foreign host institutions. The MITP already holds a network of several international centers for theoretical physics including Fermilab, the ICTP-SAIFR in São Paulo, the IPMU in Tokyo, and the TIFR in Mumbai.
These visits enable PRISMA+ PhD students and postdocs to experience research environments different from their home institution and allow them to generate new ideas, learn new methods, and establish an international network of collaborators.
